Here is my debrief after the last show with Anton Enus and the Insight Special.

And great review here.

My column for ABC The Drum. The Howard government stopped the boats? Contestable. That the policy caused loss of life? Undeniable.

Peter Reith was found by a 2002 Senate Inquiry to have been told 14 separate times kids were not thrown overboard but persisted with the lie. He was found to have deliberately misled the public & been part of ‘an extraordinary story of deceit’. To this day he has not corrected the public record or apologised.

Reith told SBS he was pulling out of all GBTWYCF publicity including Insight because of this.

Must read and watch! Go Back To Where You Came From series director Lincoln Howes on Peter Reith and I behaving like a ‘long-married couple’

“Peter Reith is just a right-wing misogynist. That’s not an insult, it’s just a description.”
